Get your tickets for the talent show
The stage at the Jamestown Community Center on the evening of Aug. 18 will be filled with exceptional local talent at the 16th annual benefit talent show produced by the Jamestown Community Chorus.
Tickets cost $7 for general admission, $5 for seniors and children, and are available at Baker’s Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, the Secret Garden, from chorus members, and at the door.
This weekend, chorus members will be selling raffle tickets outside McQuade’s Marketplace on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6 and 7, from 11 a.m. to to 3 p.m. Chris Ariel and Diane Herron, who are co-chair-women of the raffle, ask everyone to be generous in supporting their hometown chorus through the purchase of raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will also be available next weekend at McQuade’s Marketplace, from chorus members, and at the talent show.
In addition to the performing arts on stage, the raffle, and the “Hidden Talent” photo exhibit, the chorus will hold a silent auction.
Some of the items to be auctioned include an exquisite flower arrangement from the Secret Garden, a beautiful handmade quilt, a superbly hand-crafted mahogany stand to display art work, a homemade bottle of local wine, a framed black-and-white photograph of Second Beach, Middletown, in winter, and a handsome hand-drawn Gargoyle Series of note cards, to name a few. Dorrie Linn is chairwoman for the silent auction. For further information call 423-1574, or visit http://wwwjamestownri.com/chorus.
