Historical society plans tour of Horsehead mansion
The Jamestown Historical Society is once again holding a house tour on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
This year the society will present Horsehead, the beautiful and scenic home built by Joseph Wharton in the late 1800s.
This lovely home is set on 20 acres on Highland Drive with panoramic views of the East Passage. It is a house and grounds tour so those attending the tour are invited to walk the grounds and see the carriage trail and picturesque beaches.
Tickets will cost $15 per person and can be purchased at the entrance to the grounds on the day of the tour.
