Community chorus wants everyone to sing
The chorus invites all singers to their first fall rehearsal on Monday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m., at the Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave.
The now famous phrase, “Everyone can sing,” to quote B. J. Whitehouse, should be ringing in the ears of all Jamestowners and all other people who have been attending the Jamestown Community Chorus concerts for the past 16 years. Auditions are not required. There is a modest membership fee and a nominal cost for music.
The members will not only rehearse for the December holiday concerts, but also for “RISings” to be presented at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence.
Earlier rehearsals for the Sept. 11 Watson Farm concert will be held on Sat., Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m., at the Grange/Senior Center on West Street, and also on Sun., Sept. 11, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Watson Farm on North Main Road, immediately prior to the program.
