Dance will benefit Katrina victims
A dance concert to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina will be held tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 16, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at the Portuguese American Citizens’ Club.
Demassek and Rhode Kill, both groups with local ties, will play for the evening to raise funds. The cover charge is only $5, but organizers are hopeful that attendees will reach into their pockets and contribute more to help the victims of this catastrophe.
Refreshments will be served compliments of many local Jamestown businesses. Raffle tickets will also be sold for items donated by local businesses.
All proceeds from the show will be donated to the United Way Hurricane Katrina Response Fund to help effected communities begin rebuilding their lives.
Buy tickets at the door.
