Arrested on warrants
• Tyler M. Wolstencroft, 23, of Wakefield was picked up Sept. 9 at the state police barracks in Lincoln on a Jamestown warrant. Wolstencroft was taken to Newport District Court for arraignment, police said.
• Sean M. Rooney, 21, of Coventry was picked up on on a warrant on Ft. Wetherill Road after a suspicious auto call. Rooney was taken to the police station where he paid a fine and was released, police said.
• Eboni Owen, 33, of Newport was picked up Sept. 8 on a warrant after a car accident on Route 138 west. She was taken to Newport District Court for arraignment, police said.
Car damaged, items taken
Aresident of Galley Street told police Sept. 11 that the rear passenger window of his car was smashed and items were taken. Missing was a stereo, some CDs, and clothing, police said.
Purse stolen A woman from Capstan Street told police Sept. 9 that her purse was taken from her unlocked vehicle, and it was later found with $50 missing. Her cell phone was also found destroyed in the recovered purse, police said.
A woman from Narragansett Avenue reported Sept. 6 that her credit card number and PIN were stolen and used to purchase goods in Romania.
Attempted larceny reported
A Clinton Avenue resident told police Sept. 7 that his vehicle was entered and rummaged through, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
A Hamilton Avenue resident reported Sept. 7 that a laser detector was stolen from his pickup truck.
A Columbia Avenue man reported Sept. 7 that his IPod Mini was stolen from his car.
