The following construction permits were filed recently in Town Hall:

Building permits

Melvin and Barbara Whitaker received a permit Sept. 6 to construct a covered porch and deck at 23 Friendship St., work estimated to cost $1,000.

Gladys Geib received a permit Sept. 7 to make modifications to a house at 120 Battery Lane, work estimated to cost $38,000.

Peter and Susan Hoagland received a permit Sept. 7 to install a chimney at 45 Reservoir Circle, work estimated to cost $2,850.

Kevin and Carol Welch received a permit Sept. 7 to build a 16by 48inch addition to house a gas fireplace at 19 Nunn Ave., work estimated to cost $1,200.

Mark and Deborah Swistak received a permit Sept. 7 to remove and replace 700 square feet of roofing at 10 Lincoln St., work estimated to cost $4,500.

William Laurence received a permit Sept. 8 to replace bathroom and kitchen fixtures at 20 Decatur Ave., work estimated to cost $3,000.

Joe O’Neill received a permit Sept. 9 to finish a basement at 930 North Main Rd., work estimated to cost $24,817.

Alan and Lynne Eagles received a permit Sept. 9 to build a new 1961 square foot house on property at 533 East Shore Rd., work estimated to cost $250,000.

Allen Katz received a permit Sept. 9 to add a new garage and breezeway at 52 Westwind Drive, work estimated to cost $52,000.

Electrical permits

Joseph O’Neil received a permit Sept. 6 to wire electric heat in the basement at 930 North Main Rd., work estimated to cost $2,000.

Martha Pemantel received a permit Sept. 2 to upgrade the service to 100 amps at 10 Melrose Ave., work estimated to cost $1,100.

Joseph Plakyl received a permit Sept. 6 to install a new 200 amp panel at 1227 North Main Rd., work estimated to cost $3,000.

Donald Coustan received a permit Sept. 6 to wire a new addition at 265 Seaside Drive, work estimated to cost $8,500.

Alan Eagles received a permit Sept. 8 to install a temporary service at 533 East Shore Rd., work estimated to cost $200.

Elisa Conte received a permit Sept. 9 to wire a new addition at 126 Hamilton Ave., work estimated to cost $3,000.

Mechanical permits

Evan Smith received a permit Sept. 6 to add one zone of heat to the existing system at 137 America Way, work estimated to cost $650.

Sarah Foley received a permit Sept. 6 to install two zones of heat at 50 Clinton Ave., work estimated to cost $9,500.

William Laurence received a permit Sept. 8 to replace a boiler and baseboard at 20 Decatur Ave., work estimated to cost $4,000.
