Gallery opens new exhibit

The public is invited to an opening reception featuring the original oil paintings, including new works of Jamestown, of internationally known artist David Schock on Friday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The artist’s work focuses on harmonious relationships with nature, through landscapes, marine paintings, and images of women and children by the shore.

Schock is an award-winner at the Copley Society in Boston and has over 25,000 prints of his landscapes and figurative paintings in collections worldwide.

Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.
