The Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown will host a Mushroom Walk on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. led by Dr. Roger Goos, a mycologist from the University of Rhode Island.

Goos will help participants learn to identify the many different types of mushrooms and fungi found at the sanctuary.

There is a maximum of 20 registrants. Call 846-2577, ext. 17, to reserve a spot.
