Harry “Buck” E. Shatzer III
Within the last few weeks, Virginia, “Ginny,” Shatzer Taylor, a retired U.S. Navy captain, Charles and Elinor, “Andy,” Ristorcelli stopped in the Jamestown area. Attending a Rogers High School reunion, renewing old friendships, and most importantly, burying the ashes of their brother, Harry, “Buck,” E. Shatzer III were the reasons for their local visits.
Harry Shatzer III was a retired U.S. Air Force staff sergeant who died in the fall of 2001 in Alamogordo, N.M. On Aug. 19 2005, his ashes were placed at Cedar Cemetery in Jamestown, next to his parents, Harry Jr. and Elinor R. J. Shatzer.
Harry Shatzer III is survived by two sons, Morton E. Shatzer of Alamogordo, N.M., and Harry E. Shatzer IV; their mother Madonna Gains Shatzer of Las Cruces, N.M.; three grandchildren; his sisters, his brother-in-law, and three nieces.
