“ Charged after disturbance Four young men were charged with vandalism and malicious injury to property after a Sept. 24 report of a disturbance on Hull Street.
Arrested were Nicholas M. Wilkie, 21, of 7 Windsor St.; Kyle John Therriault, 21, of Warwick; Vincent J. Neri, 18, of 7 Galley St.; and Corey A. Higbee, 19, of 19 Hull St.
Police said that the men were in a house that they did not have permission to enter and caused damage to a toaster oven, smashed the glass on a storm door, put a hole in a wall, and put beer cans on the floor.
They are all scheduled to appear Sept. 30 in Newport District Court for a pre-trial hearing, police said.
Marijuana possession charged
Robert W. Pennoyer, 21, of North Kingstown was charged Sept. 24 with driving in possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on the corner of Southwest Avenue and North Main Road.
Pennoyer is scheduled to appear Sept. 30 in Newport District Court, police said.
A16-year-old girl was stopped Sept. 24 on Tashtassuc Road for failing to stop at a stop sign.
She was found to be driving without a license, police said.
The girl was turned over to Family Court, police added.
Arrested on warrant
John J. Neronha, 45, of 109 Carr Lane was picked up after a traffic stop and found to be wanted on a Superior Court bench warrant.
He was also found to be driving with a revoked license, police said.
Neronha is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 7 according to police. Vandalism reported
• An employee at BankNewport told police Sept. 26 that the drive-up window receptacle was damaged.
• A Wright Lane resident reported Sept. 22 that the rear driver’s side window in his car was smashed.
• An employee of the Secret Garden told police Sept. 23 that a pumpkin had been smashed.
