Members of the Jamestown Department of Public Works placed in the recently held “Snow Plowing Rodeo” held by the state’s Department of Transportation.

The team of Andrew Munafo, as driver, and Steve Bonner, riding shotgun, took third place at the race course held at a state DOT facility in Warwick.

This is the first year that a team from Jamestown entered the events.

The team had to drive an unfamiliar state-supplied snowplow on a timed course strewn with road cones and other obstacles.

In all, 18 towns participated in the event.
