Crime lab visits the library tonight

As part of its teen-program series and to usher in Teen Read Week, the Jamestown library will present a program about forensic science featuring a trace technician from the Rhode Island State Crime Laboratory who will discuss “CSI: Rhode Island.”

Based at University of Rhode Island’s College of Pharmacy, the crime lab is where most of the analysis of crime scene evidence occurs, including arson debris, firearms ballistics testing, bloodalcohol levels, and trace evidence analysis of hairs, fibers, paint, glass, and soils.

This free program is open to the public and will take place in the library’s meeting hall on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.
