NKHS JV field hockey girls win state tourney

Several Jamestown girls were instrumental in seeing their team to an Oct. 22 state field hockey tournament victory.

The North Kingstown junior varsity field hockey team won two games against East Greenwich, 2-0, and Cumberland, 1-0, and tied with Lincoln, 0-0, to get into the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, N.K. won 4-0 against Cumberland and then beat Lincoln for the state title, 1-0, after a 10-minute sudden death.

Players on the team include Emily Miniutti, Haley Barber, Molly Kirby, Tallie Pruell, Meaghan Farrelly, Kelsey McDonough, Cate Brennan, and Adriana Vorse, who are all from Jamestown.
