Looking for a Christmas tree

It is way too early to start thinking about Christmas! But perhaps not too early to put a little thought into the town Christmas tree.

For more than two decades, the tree erected at East Ferry has been donated by generous Jamestowners. As co-chairs of the Jamestown Christmas Tree Lighting, Mary Ann Joyce and I are now scouting out potential trees for this year.

In addition to having the tree professionally removed at no cost, contributors know that they have greatly added to the joy and wonder of this special celebration. Island residents who might like to contribute an impressive well-rounded conifer should give me a call at 423-9621.
