Worden sculpture to be auctioned at CFS event

For the second year in a row, worldrenowned sculptor Kay Worden has donated one of her bronze sculptures to Child & Family Services of Newport County for use in the agency’s upcoming dinner and silent auction.

The Taste of Newport event will be on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Newport.

Last year, Worden’s sculpture “The Greeting” brought in some $8,000 to the family services organization. This year the sculpture being auctioned is called “A Fresh Wind.”

Tickets to the event cost $100 each and can be purchased by calling 849-2300 or visit www.cfsnewport.org.
