Open house planned at St. Michael’s next week

St. Michael’s Country Day School will be holding an admission open house on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 5p.m.

Interested parents are encouraged to drop in at any time during the day to meet the head of the school, talk with parents and faculty, tour the campus, and sit in on classes.

St. Michael’s parents, faculty and staff will be on hand to give tours, so there will be ample opportunity for visitors to get a sense of what the St. Michael’s experience. The Open House will be the first since the school has added pre-kindergarten for 3-year-olds to its pre-school program.

Founded in 1938, St. Michael’s is an independent, nondenominational, coeducational school for children from preschool through grade eight. It is the mission of the school to educate the whole child: mind, body, spirit, and character, and to prepare its students as completely as possible for both the academic and social demands of secondary school.

Enrollment is currently 232 students, and the student to teacher ratio is seven to one.
