HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR: Planning is underway for

another exciting and always-eagerly-anticipated Holiday Craft Fair.

Members of the CIAA should have received their prospectuses and should contact Shirley Bell at 423-0811 or sbell137@cox.net to secure space at the craft fair. Members, who must be 21 years

age or older, do have preference in reservations, but space is limited.

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Melrose Avenue School from 9

m. to 4 p.m. The craft fair, which features fine crafts, jewelry,

glass items, and much more, draws more than 40 craftspeople from around the area. In addition, various Jamestown organizations display information and offer gifts. And there is always the delicious snack and lunch items offered by the PTO.

LITTLE PICTURE SHOW: This year’s Holiday Craft Fair will also feature the return of the Little Picture Show.

CIAA members are invited to submit up to two framed works and five bin pieces for sale at the show. Pieces should not exceed 12by 16-inches, including the frame. All work must be original. No photographic reproductions will be accepted.

If you are interested in entering your work in the show, please contact Gail Bolger at 423-1543

gpb1@cox.net. ARTISTS TALKS AT THE LIBRARY: The drab days of winter are approaching faster than anyone wants to admit, so it’s time to think about diversions. How about an evening at the library (warm, dry, and cozy — good ideas on a cold winter night), learning about some aspect of art? How about demonstrating your own particular artistic specialty? Last winter, Kevin Somerville inaugurated the series with a fascinating glimpse into the world of the medical illustrator.

The CIAA is looking for other brave souls who would like the opportunity to showcase and discuss their unique approaches to their work. Interested? I hope so! Contact Allie Sabalis at 423-2380 or allietom@cox.net for more information.
