Donald W. Cota, 62
Donald W. “Commander Cota” Cota, 62, of Southwest Avenue died Dec. 7, 2005 at South County Hospital. He was a former commercial fisherman.
Born in South Kingstown on March 28, 1943, a son of the late Paul B. and Hannah M. (Huntley) Cota, he was a lifelong resident of South County and spent his last five years in Jamestown.
A commercial fisherman, he captained many boats out of Point Judith and Newport over the course of his career. Mr. Cota was an avid golfer and loved to play the guitar.
He is survived by two sons, Winslow P. Cota and Chadwick D. Cota, both of South Kingstown; two daughters, Sharry L. Mulligan and Rhonda L. Cota, both of South Kingstown; two sisters, Charlotte Maynard and Barbara Clauson, both of South Kingstown; and six grand-children.
