Vacation music program for kids offered at library
On Thursday, Dec. 29, from 2 to 2:30 p.m. the Friends of Jamestown Library will present a vacation music program for children of all ages.
Melany Cabell and Mary King are storytellers and singers who weave together their love of singing and sharing stories. Cabell is a gifted and expressive teller of both short and tall tales that have positive messages for children.
“How Boogie-Woogie Began” is one of the many stories that blend their voices and involves the audience in a merry way.
King plays the fiddle, dulcimer, and an Irish drum called bodhran, and she is a very energetic and interactive performer.
This free program will be held in the meeting hall of the Jamestown library at 26 North Main Rd.
