Florence (Andrade) Brazil, 87, formerly of Grinnell Street, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005 at Cedar Crest Sub Acute & Rehabilitation Center in Cranston. She was the wife of the late John E. Brazil.
Born in Fairhaven, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Antone and Frances (Perry) Andrade.
A 1939 graduate of Rhode Island College, Mrs. Brazil was an elementary school teacher for the Jamestown School Department for 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the R.I. Retired Teachers Association.
A communicant of St. Mark Church, she was a member of the Women’s Club and the parish Social Justice Committee.
She leaves her three children, David J. Brazil and Frances Brazil-Kelleher, both of Jamestown, and Jean B. DellaVecchia of West Greenwich; and three grandchildren, Brian, Rebecca, and Jared Brazil. She was the sister of the late Rose Morgan and Mary O’Neil.
Her Funeral was held yesterday morning from the FaganQuinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd. in North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark Church, Jamestown. Burial was in St. Mark Cemetery.
