Teens invited to learn about the heavens above

As part of its teen program series, the Jamestown library will present a program featuring University of Rhode Island astronomy expert Dr. Elizabeth P. Bozyan on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m.

Bozyan will conduct an illustrated talk on the earth’s galaxy and other galaxies.

Her most recent research has been on the Hubble Space Telescope project to define an inertial reference frame. She has been teaching at University of Rhode Island for the past 13 years and also teaches at Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design.

Bozyan earned her undergraduate degree in physics from Vassar College, a master’s in astronomy from Wesleyan University, and a doctorate in astronomy from the University of Texas.

This free program is open to the public.
