Woodwind quintet performs this Sunday

The Friends of the Jamestown Library will open their winter concert series with a performance for children and their families to be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m. in the library’s meeting hall.

Some of the featured music will be from “Peter and the Wolf” and the score from Star Wars.

The Classic Winds woodwind quintet began performing in 1994 and has a wide range of styles. The members are dedicated to bringing the sounds of traditional woodwind quintet music and chamber music to their diverse audiences.

The group is composed of musicians JoAnne Loewenthal, a Jamestown resident, on flute, Suzan Campagna on oboe, Bill Beaudoin on bassoon, Richard Partelo on French horn, and Nicholas Marinaccio on clarinet.

The performance is free and open to the public.
