See private greenhouses on tour

The Rhode Island Wild Plant Society, in conjunction with Blithewold Gardens of Bristol, will host a March 25 garden tour called “Gardening Under Glass: A Greenhouse Tour.”

The tour will feature 10 private greenhouses in and around Newport. Society organizers said the tour, which is self-guided, offers a chance to peek into greenhouses rarely open to the public, to admire private plant collections, and to learn about the art of growing under glass. The tour will run from noon to 4 p.m. and has a snow date of April 1.
