Arrested on warrant

Scott M. Issa, 36, of Warwick was picked up Jan. 22 after a traffic stop and found to be wanted on a Superior Court warrant.

Police turned Issa over to the Newport sheriff’s office.

Suspended licenses charged

• Pedro J. Perez, of Providence was picked up Jan. 17 after a traffic stop on Route 138 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Perez is scheduled to appear Jan. 27 in Newport District Court, police said.

• Melanie Gillis, 42, of 16 Narragansett Ave. was picked up Jan. 17 after a traffic stop on Narragansett Avenue and was found to be driving with a suspended license.

She is scheduled to appear Jan. 27 in Newport District Court, police said.

Acts of vandalism reported

• A resident of Highland Drive reported damage to his landscaping after a vehicular accident on Jan. 24.

• A Conanicus Avenue resident told police Jan. 20 that profanities had been written on his truck with marking pen.
