Designer to share secrets of design at the library

Jamestown resident Lynda Sutton will give a talk and demonstration at the library entitled “A Journey in Design – from designing quilts to design and styling for national magazines.”

Slated for Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. , the event is sponsored by the Conanicut Island Art Association.

Following more than two decades as a quilt artist, Sutton expanded her expertise in design to the three dimensional realm of room and area design and enhancement. She has been a freelance field editor, design consultant and stylist for dozens of magazines, including Better Homes & Gardens, BHG Special Interest publications, the Boston Globe Home Section, Country Decorating and Country Almanac, Country Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, L.L. Bean, New England Home, Princess House, Rhode Island Monthly, and Yankee Magazine. In addition, Lynda’s work has graced the covers of Beautiful Homes, the Boston Globe, and Country Gardens.

The talk is free and open to the public.
