Friends of the Jamestown Library plan a literary bus excursion

The Friends of the Jamestown Library are sponsoring a trip to the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, March 18.

A guided tour of Twain’s 19room, Tiffany-decorated mansion can be enjoyed by all who attend. The adjoining museum features a special exhibit called “Twain, Tiffany and Other Treasures: Highlights from the Collection.” The exhibitition has a particular focus on period decorative and fine arts objects.

The cost of $40 per person includes admission to the house, the adjoining museum, the bus ride and a box lunch. Anyone wishing to attend should sign up and pay for the event at the Jamestown library by March 13.

The group will depart from the Jamestown Golf Course Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m. and returning to Jamestown at approximately 4:30 p.m.
