Library Friends plan bus trip to visit Mark Twain’s home

The Friends of the Jamestown Library are sponsoring a trip to the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, March 18.

Enjoy a guided tour of Twain’s 19-room, Tiffany-decorated mansion. The adjoining museum features a special exhibit, “Twain, Tiffany and Other Treasures: Highlights from the Collection.” The exhibition has a particular focus on period decorative and fine-arts objects.

The cost of $40 per person includes admission to the house, the adjoining museum, the bus ride, and box lunch. Sign-ups, including box lunch choices and payments, can be made at the library until March 13. The group will depart from the Jamestown Golf Course Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m. and return to Jamestown at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Contact Sara Bobola at 423-2191 for more information or call the library at 423-7280.
