Upcoming spaghetti supper to help with cost to battle cancer
A fund-raiser will be held April 2 to help longtime Jamestown resident Nancy Williams Maloney, who is suffering from a recurring bout of cancer.
Maloney, the daughter of Bert and Marie Williams, grew up in Jamestown with her 11 siblings. Maloney's family and friends are holding the spaghetti dinner fund-raiser to help with growing medical costs.
The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Portuguese American Citizens' Club, 138 Narragansett Ave. There will be pasta with traditional meat sauce and a vegetarian meatless version available as well. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Advance tickets are available at Baker's Pharmacy, and tickets will also be available at the door.
There will be many great raffle prizes and a silent auction. All prizes will be awarded after 8 p.m. Winners not in attendance will be notified by phone. Auction prizes are still needed. Call Linda O'Connell at 423-0751 or Theresa Botelho at 683-3108. Send donations to the Nancy Williams Maloney Fund, c/o 51 Southwest Ave., Jamestown, RI 02835.
