Free program on Lyme disease

On Tuesday, April 11, Thomas E. Forschner, the executive director of the Lyme Disease Foundation, will present a program on Lyme disease at the Jamestown library at 7 p.m.

Forschner is the co-founder of the Lyme Disease Foundation and has donated over 3,000 hours of volunteer service to the organization. Executive director since 1990, he also has 24 years of business experience. He decided to found the foundation in order to find the answers to a disease that was killing his son Jamie.

Although Jamie died in 1991, Forschner continues his work at the foundation knowing that he is helping to make the world a healthier, safer place.

The Lyme Disease Foundation is the premier non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions for tick-borne disorders. Its board of directors includes the discoverer of the Lyme bacterium, as well as distinguished physicians, a retired congressman, and researchers. Its headquarters are in Tolland, Conn.

Forschner has lectured extensively on Lyme disease throughout the country. He will present this program free of charge to all Jamestown residents.
