URI to hold largest-ever job fair
More than 85 companies and organizations will be at the Career and Job Fair 2006 at the University of Rhode Island's Ryan Center on Wednesday, April 5.
Free and open to the public, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Employers representing Rhode Island as well as out-of-state organizations will be recruiting.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., members of the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training will provide free resume reviews.
Bobbi Koppel, career services director, said employers will be offering fulland parttime opportunities, as well as internships.
Business, financial services, non-profit, human services, government, retail, insurance, health, engineering and technology will be among the fields represented.
This is URI Career Services fourth major job fair at the Ryan Center. Attendance has ranged from 500 to 1,000 job seekers. For further information, visit http://career.uri.edu.
