Learn about R.I. geography today

The Friends of the Jamestown Library will present a program on Thursday, May 4, in honor of Rhode Island Independence Day.

Cartoonist Steve Brosnihan will give his "Rhode Island Can Be Puzzling State Map Tour," with the purpose of amusing and informing people about the state. Using his rebus cartoon map, Brosnihan will conduct an audience participation quiz using enlargements of 60 drawings that

represent 60 places featured on the map. Once the puzzles are solved, interesting information will be presented about each place.

Running from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., this program is suitable for all ages and is an excellent way to spur interest for further study of Rhode Island communities.

No registration is necessary.
