Ride bikes to school tomorrow

Tomorrow, May 19 is Walk and Bike to School Day in Jamestown.

All kids are encouraged to wear a helmet, pump up their tires and get that bike out of the garage for a healthy ride to school.

Adult volunteers will be stationed at corners around the village to ensure that students get to school safely. Parents are encouraged to get on a bike to accompany their children to school.

The organizers of the event, Rolling Agenda, are asking that students coming from North Main Road, go up Watson Avenue to the schools. Those who are coming from Narragansett Avenue should use Lawn Avenue.

Volunteers will be at Green Lane and High Street, High Street and Southwest Avenue, Clinton and Narragansett avenues, and Narragansett Avenue and North Main Road.
