Chorus thanks patrons

The promise and beauty of spring was most evident in the Jamestown Community Chorus production of "Love and Spirit" on May 6 and 7.

Our concerts were very well received by the folks from Jamestown and communities surrounding Narragansett Bay. Not only did the singers present songs of nature, love, and joy, but they also presented outstanding selections in German, French, and Italian.

We are grateful to Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, and the Secret Garden for once again being our ticket agents. Our appreciation also goes out to the Central Baptist Church for being our singing home. We have been holding rehearsals, concerts, and receptions in their beautiful church for the past few years. The Jamestown Press is instrumental in informing the community about our upcoming events, and we thank them for their continuing coverage.

Our next chorus activity will be the annual fundraiser talent show and silent auction in August. This will be followed by our first rehearsal on Sept. 11 for the December holiday concerts. Marion Gomez,

public relations,

Jamestown Community Chorus
