Pennfield holds fair Saturday
The Pennfield School will hold one of its biggest events of the year, the 35th annual May Fair, with enough attractions to keep families entertained for hours.
From running through the Rat Race Obstacle Course to rocking the Bouncy House, children and their parents will have fun while helping an independent school known for its commitment to academic distinction.
The annual event will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a rain date May 21. The event will be at Little Slocum Farm, 110 Sandy Point Ave., in Portsmouth. Admission is free.
New this year is the Antique Car Show exhibit. A variety of classic cars will be brought to the campus for all to enjoy. Other attractions include an extensive silent auction and raffle and a huge plant and book sale. Children will enjoy pony rides, face painting, an elaborate tea party, children's crafts, cakewalk, penny candy, a lip sync contest, and various field games. For the gourmet, there will be homemade food, baked goods, and a salad bar.
