Summer fun for kids at the J'town library

Many free programs for children ages 4 to 10 will be held in the library meeting hall in coming weeks. No advance registration is required.

Scheduled are:

+ Tuesday, June 20, at 7 p.m., Mifflin Lowe, stories and songs.

+ Friday, June 23, at 11 a.m., Born to be Wild Nature Center.

+ Tuesday, June 27, at 2 p.m., Christopher "Kavi" Carbone, music program.

+ Thursday, June 29, at 11 a.m., Keith Michael Johnson and his show about bubbles.

+ Saturday, July 1, at 10:30 a.m., Biomes Marine Science Center demonstration.

+ Thursday, Aug. 3, at 7:30 p.m., Skip Gorman, Cowboy Musician plays.

+ Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m., Katie Latimer, storyteller.

+ Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m., Diane Postoian, storyteller.

+ Thursday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m., Animal Experiences with David Marchetti.

All programs are sponsored by the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, McDonald's Restaurants of Rhode Island, and the Friends of Jamestown Library.
