Three teens were charged June 11 with possession of alcohol and marijuana after a patrol officer went to check on their car parked at Green's Pier.
The three youths, ages 17, 17, and 16 were each charged with one count of possession of alcohol by an underage person and one count of possession of marijuana, police said. The youths were referred to Family Court.
Man arrested twice
William J. Kitchin, 26, of North Kingstown was charged June 12 with driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on North Main Road.
About 90 minutes after Kitchen was released from the police station, police said, he went to get his car from the tow company's lot and drove it away.
Kitchin was arrested a second time for driving with a suspended license, after the tow company reported him, police said. He is due to appear June 30 in Newport District Court.
Arrested on warrant Vincent J. Neri, 19, of 2 Umiak
Ave. was picked up June 10 on a warrant for failing to pay a court fine. Neri posted bail and was released, police said.
Charged with license violation
Benjamin D. Sherman, 19, of Brookline, N.H., was charged June 7 with driving with a suspended license after police went to see about his disabled car on Route 138.
Sherman is scheduled to appear June 16 for an arraignment in Newport District Court, police said.

+ An employee of Xtra/Mart reported June 8 that someone drove off without paying for gas.
A Frigate Street resident told police June 8 that someone damaged his mailbox.

+ Jared Haage, 19, of North Kingstown pleaded no contest to a charge of driving with a suspended license. His license was re-instated and the case was dismissed upon payment of court costs, police said.
+ Adrian Lombard, 31, of North Kingstown pleaded no contest to a charge of driving with a suspended license. His license was re-instated and the case was dismissed upon payment of court costs, police said.
+ Lowell Thomas, 46, of 54 Whittier Rd. had a charge of drunk driving dismissed under a plea agreement, but sanctions were imposed for his refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police said.
+ Mark Ward, 48, of North Kingstown pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct. His case was filed and he was ordered to perform 20 hours of community service and pay court costs, police said.
