Tan book discussion on tap for July 11 session

The Afternoon Book Discussion at the Jamestown library continues on Tuesday, July 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. with the novel "The Bonesetter's Daughter" by Amy Tan. Amazon review said the book gives "empathetic insight into the complex relationship of Chinese mothers and their American-born daughters."

On Tuesday, August 8, the group will discuss "Shadow Divers: The True Adventure of Two Americans Who Risked Everything to Solve One of the Last Mysteries of World War II" by Robert Kurson.

The Tuesday group will be choosing its book selections for the next six months, so participants are invited to bring along suggestions.

These books may be obtained through the Jamestown library by placing holds on one of the many copies in the state available through the Cooperating Libraries Automated Network or CLAN.
