Teen book group forming

The Jamestown library will host a book group for young adults, ages 12 to 16, beginning Thursday, July 6, at 7 p.m.

Participants are invited to attend and trade reading tips with each other, and to discuss what books they are currently reading and what books they would recommend to their peers.

There is a wide selection of new books and books on CD for teens at the library. The library has recently purchased all 20 of the RI Teen Book Award nominees, which include "Confessions

of a Closet Catholic" by Sarah Darer Littman, "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan, and "Listening for Lions" by Gloria Whelan.

Those attending should bring a book that they love and be prepared to talk about it. Light refreshments will be served.

Registration is not required for this free program, which will take place in the museum room at 26 North Main Rd. in Jamestown.
