Book group reads Amy Tan

The Afternoon Book Discussion at the Jamestown library continues on Tuesday, July 11, the second Tuesday of the month, from 1 to 2 p.m. with the book "The Bonesetter's Daughter" by Amy Tan.

This novel is about the complex relationships between Chinese mothers and their American-born daughters.

On Tuesday, Aug. 8, the group will discuss "Shadow Divers: The True Adventure of Two Americans Who Risked Everything to Solve One of the Last Mysteries of World War II" by Robert Kurson.

The Tuesday group will be choosing its book selections for the next six months, so participants are invited to bring along suggestions.

These books can be obtained through the Jamestown library by placing holds on one of the many copies in the state available through the Cooperating Libraries Automated Network, also known as CLAN. The discussions are free and open to the public.

Forr more information, call the library at 423-7280.
