Krispy Kreme donuts on the church menu Sunday
The St. Mark Knights of Columbus Council 9197 is sponsoring a Krispy Kreme Doughnut fund-raiser, and social event, on Sunday, July 16, at St. Mark Church from 8 to 11 a.m. in the church hall and the churchyard.
The famous doughnuts, freshly made Sunday morning at Krispy Kreme's Cranston location, will be rushed to St. Mark, and sold for the store-bought price of $6 a dozen or two for $1.
The knights will use all proceeds from the fund-raiser to support various charitable organizations. In the past, the knights have donated funds to the Mother of Life Center in Providence, the St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Mark, and the Jamestown-based Threads of Love group among others.
The knights invite St. Mark parishioners, island residents, and vacationers to stop by St. Mark this Sunday morning and purchase a box or two of the fresh doughnuts, partake of complimentary coffee and soft drinks, and socialize with family, friends, and visitors.
