Gallatin to play Sunday
Summer Music in Jamestown continues at East Ferry's Veterans Memorial Square this Sunday, July 30, at 6:30 p.m. with an appearance by Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters.
This acoustic band has traveled around the U.S. and Europe playing their interesting variety of American roots music, which includes folk, western swing, authentic country, and bluegrass. They have played at music festivals coast to coast, and toured the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark. Their latest album "The Long Way Home" was recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy awardwinner Rich Adler.
The band features Amy Gallatin on vocals and acoustic guitar, and the virtuosic resophonic guitar (Dobro) playing of Roger Williams, as well as award-winning young fiddler Ben Dean, and multi-talented bass and percussionist John Urbanik. All of the band members have traveled and recorded extensively here and abroad, and bring with them a wealth of experience in a variety of musical styles.
The free concert is co-sponsored by Integrated Management Solutions and the Jamestown Press. In case of rain, the show will go on at the Community Center.
