Marijuana found in car

Three Fall River, Mass., men were charged July 24 with possession of about 134 grams of marijuana after a traffic stop for speeding then running a stop sign on Beacon Avenue.

Orn Neth, 48, was also charged with driving with a suspended license, police said. Navy Tep, 20, was charged with possession and Samnang Kranh, 21, was also charged with obstruction, police said.

They are scheduled to appear Aug. 4 in Newport District Court, police said.

License violation charged

Edwin Y. Castaneda, 32, of Providence was charged July 24 with driving without a valid license after a traffic stop on Route 138.

He is scheduled to appear Aug. 8 in Newport District Court, police said.

Suspended license charges

Vicky J. Neiner, 45, of Perth Amboy, N.J., was charged July 23 with driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Conanicus Avenue.

She is scheduled to appear Aug. 11 in Newport District Court, police said.

Drunk driving charged

David S. Robinson, 42, of 55 Cole St. was charged with drunk driving and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test after a traffic stop for speeding on North Main Road.

Robinson is scheduled to appear Aug. 4 in Newport District Court for the drunk-driving charge and on July 28 for the refusal, police said.

Vandalism reported

An Ocean Avenue resident told police July 24 that about 50 bluestone patio blocks were smashed on the property shortly after they were laid down. They were worth about $90, police said.

Cars entered at Ft. Wetherill

Owners of two cars at Ft. Wetherill reported July 22 that their car radios had been stolen. One vehicle owner also reported about $100 worth of CDs missing from the car, police said.
