Second osprey set for tracking

Comet, born at the Great Creek this spring and named after Metacomet, sachem of the Wampanoag tribe, was outfitted with a radio-transmitting unit Saturday so scientists can track his migration habits. Fitting Comet with his new tracking device was Rob Bierregaard, a biology professor at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, who also fit Comet's older brother Conanicus with a similar device last year.
