Parker on tap for book group
The Evening Book Discussion at the Jamestown library will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, featuring the short stories and poems of Dorothy Parker.
Dorothy Rothschild Parker, 1893-1967, was a celebrated conversationalist renowned for her literary contributions and founding member of the "Algonquin Round Table." She was a feminist and one of the most successful literary writers of her day.
Copies of her stories and poems will be available at the Jamestown library. Led by Jamestowner Richard Tyre, the discussion is free and open to the public.
