+ Kathleen Champagne, 18, of 5 Pleasant View Drive pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of possession of alcoholic beverages by an underage person. She was fined $150, ordered to perform 10 hours of community service and pay court costs, police said.

+ Benjamin Coulter, 21, of Newport pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $250 and court costs, which were stayed pending re-instatement of his license, police said.

+ Christopher Neagle, 54. of Cumberland, Maine, pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of possessing marijuana. The case was filed for one year and he was ordered to pay $200 to the victims' compensation fund, police said.

+ Mark Sweeney, 49, of North Kingstown pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of drunk driving with a blood alcohol count of .15 or higher. His license was suspended for four months. He must also perform 40 hours of community service, attend alcohol counseling, and pay highway assessments and court costs, police said.

+ Heather Waterman, 33, of 193 Seaside Drive pleaded no contest July 14 to a charge of simple domestic assault. The charge was filed for one year, and she must seek domestic violence counseling and pay court costs, police said.

+ David Dourado, 28, of 218 Capstan St. pleaded no contest July 26 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $350 and court costs, police said.
