Garden care when water is limited

The Quononoquott Garden Club is inviting the public to learn about healthy landscapes at the Jamestown library on Monday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m.

A project of the University of Rhode Island Cooperative Extension, the Healthy Landscapes program addresses the care needed to produce a beautiful garden when water is a limited resource, especially in a dry summer.

Dorothy Read, a retired professor of biology at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and Caryle Storm, a retired university chemist, both master gardeners, will present the program.
