The talent was better than ever!

"Good Ol' Summertime," produced by the Jamestown Community Chorus at the Community Center, was an event that tickled the funny bones and delighted the hearts of the audience.

Many acts have graced the stage since the inception of the talent show 17 years ago, and the community spirit has continued to grow for this annual event. Not only have the residents of Jamestown generously supported the raffle program, but for the past couple of years, the hometown folks have also supported a silent auction.

Our kudos to all the outstanding performers and the chorus personnel who worked tirelessly to present a fine show to the people of Jamestown and surrounding communities.

As always, we are most appreciative of the continuing support by local businesses and the coverage by the Jamestown Press, as well as the crew of the Jamestown Community Center, and our ticket agents, Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, and the Secret Garden.

Music director B. J. Whitehouse is looking for additional singers for the upcoming holiday program. There are no auditions and only a nominal fee for membership and music. He hopes to see you at the first fall rehearsal Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m., at Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave. The concert, "Our Holiday Favorites," will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10. public relations,
