Civil War weekend coming to Ft. Adams

Civil War buffs are in for a treat as Ft. Adams hosts a Living History Weekend on Sept. 9 and 10.

During the two-day event, soldiers and civilians in authentic 19th-century uniforms and dress will invite the public to spend a day in their lives, learning about everything from military tactics to cooking.

The cost of admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 17. Families with up to four children get in for the flat rate of $25.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
