JEMS receives gift of new generator.

Jamestown Emergency Medical Services received two generous donations from Clement Napolitano and the Jamestown Boat Yard. One gift is a generator for use at the JEMS headquarters on Knowles Court. Napolitano has also generously provided funds to purchase special pants to protect ambulance volunteers from contamination from liquid pathogens.

The generator is a 16,000-watt, propane-powered Generac. Designed to start immediately if a power failure occurs, it was installed last week by Jack's Electric, which generously donated the installation of the generator.

Napolitano recently stepped down as deputy director of JEMS but continues to be an active member of the volunteers. At a recent board meeting, Sharon McNeil was appointed deputy director. Mike Pinksaw will be the new training officer and Tom Rezendes was appointed assistant administrator.
