Swim club open to new swimmers

Rams swim club is a year round fun-filled opportunity to enjoy the sport of swimming.

Whether a swimmer is an expert competitor who wants to train with the top coaches in Rhode Island or new to the sport as a beginner, the Rams Swimming Club is a great team on which to gain experience.

Swimmers are accepted from grade 1 to college age. Anyone who can swim unassisted is welcome to join.

Pools are available for practice in both Kingston at the University of Rhode Island and in Newport at St. George's School.

Practices are available seven days a week for advanced swimmers and three to four days a week for beginners. Practice times are in the evening to avoid conflicting with school times and making transportation easier for families

There will be an informational meeting with the coaches on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at URI's Tootell Aquatic Center.

At this meeting, participants will learn about the Rams program and have an opportunity to ask questions about the club or swimming in general.

For more information, visit the teams Web site at www.ramsswimming. com or call 480-5595.
